Questa volta il titolo dell'articolo é composto da un nome ma penso che basti per descrivere tutto. Mauro Gilli da oltre 20anni é immerso nel mondo delle pipe... La sua arte? Le riparazioni.

Chiunque abbia una pipa malconcia o un bocchino "mangiato" può impacchettare il tutto e attendere.

Qualsiasi pipa riacquisterà vita.

Prezzi competitivi e grande professionalità... Al ritorno a casa la pipa sarà come nuova e ci potrebbe essere una sola sorpresa che riassumo con la seguente esclamazione: "ora è più bella di prima".

Mi soffermo un attimo sui bocchini. Creare un nuovo bocchino per una pipa già esistente é una delle cose più difficile che si possa richiedere. Molto artigiani, per sopperire a qualche piccola imprecisione, montano delle verette sul cannello ma Mauro Gilli no! É in grado di creare bocchini precisissimi... Senza alcuno "scalino".

Oltre alle riparazione Mauro Gilli é anche un Brand di pipe attualmente molto richieste. Personalmente ne ho 4 ma conto di arrivare almeno ad una decina. Le descrivo in ordine di arrivo:

1) rhodesian dritta con bocchino in cumberland, finitura liscia. Una delle poche pipe lisce che fumo volentieri. Buona da subito, non é mai diventata eccessivamente calda nelle prime fumate e veramente dolce. Versatile con ogni tipo di tabacco.

2) square panel sabbiata: una pipa di grandi dimensioni, bocchino in cumberland... Le sue doti? Perfezione maniacale e leggerezza... Quando l'ho acquistata pensavo pesasse almeno 10gr in più.

3) Chubby Biliard Maigret sabbiata, bocchino in cumberland verde che alla luce del sole tende all'azzurro. Pipa tozza ma molto comoda, sabbiatura chiarissima e veramente molto gradevole, per ora con EM é veramente spettacolare.

4) tronchetto sabbiato rosso con doppio bocchino, il primo nero e il secondo in cumberland azzurro che non avevo mai visto. A virginia fuma in modo molto piacevole, fornello molto piccolo per fumate non troppo lunghe ma l'effetto é uno solo: la carico una volta dietro l'altra. Comodissima e il bocchino azzurro richiesto post vendita é veramente particolare.

Che dire spero davvero di poter aggiungere altre pipe di Mauro Gilli alla mia collezione e presto spero di conoscerlo dal vivo per poter curiosare nella sua arte e perché no... Nel suo laboratorio.

I talk a moment about the mouthpieces. Create a new mouthpiece for an existing pipe is one of the most difficult things that you may require. Many craftsmen, to make up for some minor inaccuracies, makes a ring on the torch but is not Mauro Gilli way ti work! He is able to create very precise mouthpieces ... Without any "step".

In addition to repair Mauro Gilli is also a brand of pipe currently in great demand. Personally I have only 4 but I hope to get at least a dozen. I'll describe in the order of arrival:

1) rhodesian straight, mouthpiece in Cumberland, smooth finish. One of the few smooth pipe that willingly smoke. Good now, has never become excessively hot in the first smoke and really sweet. Versatile with each type of tobacco.

2) square sandblasted panel: a large pipe, mouthpiece in Cumberland ... His talents? Maniacal perfection and lightness ... When I bought it I thought it weighed at least 10g more.

3) Chubby Biliard - Maigret sandblasted, mouthpiece in cumberland green in the sunlight tends to blue. Pipe stocky but very confortable, blasting clear and really very pleasant, for now with EM is truly spectacular.

4) Stub sandblasted with double black and red mouthpiece. A virginia smokes in a very nice way, very small stove to smoke not too long, but the effect is only one: I load once after the other. Comfortable and blue mouthpiece required after sales is very special.
